VAN NUYS As I was going to Van Nuys I met a man with three ex-wives
And each ex-wife had seven cats
And all the cats had hired P.I.s
The P.I.s all had gray-haired mothers
Each deal had an exit clause
The laws came down from Old King Cole
Each lawyer had a lovely wife
The lawyer’s wife would shop at Saks
She’d buy designer socks and mittens
Then to her car and away she’d drive
A love nest in Canoga Park
But one P.I. had tailed her well
The lawyer to the Valley flew
He cried as he burst in their shack
But the lovers, they were armed with knives
They fell on him in righteous anger
That P.I., he was tough to beat, though
Private eyes and missing toes
Kittens, cats, sacks and wives
