The valley is a dry lake, dusty and reddish-brown.
      Stars glow brilliantly overhead. In the distance is
      a high plateau with a single white light emanating
      from the edge.

      In the foreground is the partially buried skeleton
      of a Triceratops. Its horns and skull point
      despairingly up at the sky, its backbone curving
      along the ground and disappearing under the cracked
      earth.

2     EXT. NIGHT - PLATEAU

      CUT to the top of the plateau. The light turns out
      to be coming from the headlights of a '64 Mustang
      convertible. The car is idling. In the driver's
      seat is JOSEPH, with MARY next to him in the
      passenger seat. She is pregnant. Both have metal
      haloes with glued-on sparkles around their heads,
      mounted on coat hangars going down their backs a la
      the third grade Christmas pageant. Mary is half-
      asleep.

                            JOSEPH
                Okay...that's it.

                            MARY
                Hmm...
                     (waking up, yawning)
                What time is it?

                            JOSEPH
                Midnight.

                            MARY
                     (stretching)
                Well...Let's go.

      Joseph puts the car in reverse, turns around, and
      starts down the road into the valley, where they
      will begin to people the earth.

      BLACKOUT.
